I have an issue with people of this great country who insist on imposing their secularist views on the rest of the population. The seasons being celebrated are religious in nature. They are celebrations of events that have occurred in our faiths, and cultures.
That being said, I challenge those who do not celebrate these holidays to not take the time off of work work, and continue to plod along in their daily grind. They don't complain about the time off. They aren't put out by the pay rates that some companies give for making employees work on holidays celebrated by others. They will be the first ones to claim discrimination when they are not allowed to have the time off; easy solution -give them time off during the Fall or Spring. Let them figure out what they want to call it. Taking these days during the religious holiday season only does one thing for the secularists...
...allow the rest of us to see them as the true hypocrites they are.
