Who Have You Impacted?

We had a few guests over last weekend for a chat.  Part of the reason was to help a visiting European girl get some things off of her chest after a long, ugly stay as an Au-pair.  We had some fellowship, shared some pastries from Northern Jersey, got to know the Youth Ministry leader better, and had just a great overall time.

We received word today that the girl accepted Jesus Christ into her life!  I can't claim that it was our hospitality, her friend, or anything we did or said.  It might have a combination, but the Holy Spirit put all of that into motion.  Neither I, or anyone else in the room can claim what He did.  All we can say is that it was done for His glory alone.

The only thing I can say after that, is prayer works.  The youth leader prayed over her, with her friend, as we did as well later that night after they had all left.  In the car on the way home, because of the unconditional love she felt from all of us (both friends and strangers (at first)), she had never felt as calm, as loved, and as comforted as she did.  She said is was more than just a momentary feeling.  It has lasted up until this day.

I can't claim another notch in the spine of my Bible (I can't claim any, and I haven't notched my Bible), but I don't mind being used in this way.  The Holy Spirit has used me, with all of my flaws, to impact someone from another continent.  Who knows who she will touch there.  Who will she impact?

God's blessings to all of you.
