Sitting through the Nor'easter of 2007 (well at least the first one). Have the fireplace going, kids were out sledding -and not in front of the TV. The birds are huddled in the bushes waiting for their turn on the bird feeder. The woodpeckers are taking turns on the suet cage, and the squirrels are no where to be seen.
The sleet changed over to snow about an hour ago. The weather people (or the "whether it snows or not people") are calling for about another 8 inches or so. Kids are happy because it means the possibility of another day of no school.
I think this is one of the few times that cars actually obey the speed limit on my road. If they travel just a wee bit too fast -they meet up with the 3 foot deep drainage ditch along the side of the road.
Well, time to put another log on the fire.
